If you want to get away from the Waikiki mob try Kailua/Lanikia. Hike to the WWII Pill Boxes. Easy hike and a great view up and down the eastside. Take a camera. Lunch or dinner at Assaggio's (no view but great food) or Buzz's Original Steak House (outside dining w/view of Kailua Park and some ocean). Kailua Beach is great for a late afternoon or early evening walk.

For a great sunset dinner try Jamesons (Great view and sunset) on the Northshore of Oahu. If the surf is small drop your significant other off at Sharks Cove for great snorkeling and you can go into Haleiwa town for shopping.

You will need a rental for all these activities. You will have a great time no matter what you do!!!
