Then you get places like DFW that essentially have 5(?) parallel runways so I think I read somewhere they cheat a little and some of the numbering is slightly "off" from the bearing.
That "creativity" also comes into play when you have two airports in close proximity whose runways are on the same bearing ... for example, 36/18 at one becomes 35/17 at the other .
