I know it seems to be the norm to try to figure out the most exotic ways to use your new-found bonus points in a program, but the cash-out of this offer seems like a complete no-brainer to those of us who travel on business and have the ability to use a personal credit card.

Rack up $1,100 of charges for business airfare, hotel, rental cars, etc. on the Cap1 card, get reimbursed by your employer, and have the charges forgiven on your credit card statement. Then you have the $1,100 in your pocket for anything you want to spend it on. That also eliminates any worry that you might "lose" your Cap1 points when you cancel your credit card at the time the annual fee posts in a year or so.
