I'm not sure if anyone has noticed yet, but both the Venetian and Palazzo show up when searching for hotels in Vegas. I just looked for some dates in September, but both showed no availability (I suppose inventory hasn't been loaded yet). They link to the IC website, but I can't find a way to navigate there starting at the IC website. Both show up as "An Intercontinental Alliance Resort"....not that I know what that really means. Well, who cares, only an idiot, even one with RA status and regardless of potential upgrade, would consider paying for a room there.
Make no mistake, they've even said it in public. They've cut the comps and raised the room prices(A LOT!).
And it all boils down to the deal with IHG
