Sounds like a decent booking for you and the constraints you have. Y/Economy isn't going to be the most comfortable regardless of whether its AA or IB. I don't know of the in-flight service difference between the two though. IB may be better than AA on the soft-product. I'd try for exit rows on the 767 if you're eligible for them in order to make it a bit more tolerable. Full Disclosure; I've never flown a 767 in Y, but I've always started out with booking Y seats in Exit Row before my upgrades have cleared. I've heard row 21 exit row is a good option on the 763. Definitely check out SeatGuru.com and SeatExpert.com for more seating information.
