Thanks for all of your information! We like to walk around little cities, and check out cafes and people watch. It sounds like from your email that Victoria is the better bet--since Whistler has a "compact" village. Besides the Delta, would you recommend any other properties. My inclination is to avoid the Empress, b/c unless you shell out a lot, lot of money, it's hard to get a nice room.
