People are confusing the issue. until told otherwise (which I know we will since it's all about the marketing) we should assume that anything not booked per the spg.com or 800# will not count for any benefit.

you're the only one assuming that.
I'm certain that reservations made through my in house corp travel agent will count. I'm also certain that reservations made through any agency that does not act as a consolidator will count too.
