I presume the OP is not entitled to free advance seating by virtue of status, fare class (J or C), travelling with an infant or whatnot, so he's looking at the paid-for options. Some UD seating is off-limits in that case, but not all. You can't tell from EF, I believe: they've tried to distinguish recently between premium-only seats and blocked seats (they used to be hopeless at this with BA) but haven't really got this right. I'm guessing they can't get the informatino from BA, atlhough if it's available to travel agents I don't see why not.

Generally rows 60,61 and 62 cannot be paid for in advance, whereas some (but not all) seats in rows 63 and 64 can be paid for. But it varies apparently unpredictably.
