I sincerely hope that they never get to read this.

As for the crew - I have no idea what they have done to deserve your sarcasm bit the only Daily Mail will be the one that you select, Dear amongst all the other papers that you could have chosen. I for one never went the "I'm Pucci, Fly Me" mostly because I have never embraced the cheap and tacky ad world with much ardour.

Really, I give up - Management are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

I really am annoyed - and I shouldn't be.

I consider myself duly spanked!

Dearest Pucci, the last person I would ever want to annoy is you - and I admit my comments were a little radical! However, the fact remains that many frequent BA travellers I know, as well as many members of this board, have lost faith with BA's food offering, at least in the premium classes, relative to other carriers, and ultimately the blame must lie on the shoulders of (a) senior management for cutting food spend excessively; (b) the executives responsible, some of whom we apparently saw in last night's documentary; and (c) the caterer itself. Indeed, last night's program seemed to demonstate that the issues of catering quality on BA are not just about lack of budget. Other airlines do better: AF, for example, can produce a passable steak in J. Meanwhile, as I've said before in these forums, BA's offering has been so bad that these days I often bring my own food onto BA flights in J. And you wouldn't want to hear my wife's reaction at the food she's beens served in F the last two times she's been with me.

When BA's food offering is even heading towards the quality of AF, CX or a host of other carriers I could mention, I promise to write to the food managers I've denigrated above and congratulate them on their progress. Until then - it's a good thing BA still has a few good Puccis among its cabin crew, who remain, overall, one of BA's best attributes, because we sure ain't choosing to fly BA for the quality of the food we're being presented with.
