One note, for the new SM's out there, if you didn't already know, a non-medallion on your PNR will drag you to the bottom of the list. This is the same for GM, PM, etc. This is why many people split their PNR and then ask for a companion UG.

If you split the PNR, the companion is still at the bottom of the list, correct?

So, if you want to sit together with your companion, there's no benefit to splitting the pnr, correct? I don't want to be in a situation where I get upgraded and my companion doesn't. (that would sit well with the Mrs.)


I booked my ticket on DL.com and requested upgrades, but it doesn't refelct that on my reservation. I'll try to find some time today to call SM line and see what they tell me.
