Hi Enele NZ,

No they don't earn SPs, reason is that AP$ are earned either through revenue flights in high booking classes or by making purchases through loyalty schemes such as fly buys or branded credit cards etc. The AP$s earned are the loyally bonus/reward. If you could then use that reward to purchase flights and get SPs on those flights they are in effect rewarding you again without you providing them with any further revenue.
