Relais & Chateaux is clearly number one for me, even being only a "marketing association" (but a very select one). Only with them you have an unparalleled mix of character, charm, courtesy and cuisine (not to forget the calm). Real hoteliers for real guests. Luxury can be defined in many ways.

vuittonsofstyle, I am happy to report that Amanwella is moving up quickly. What Pietro Addis, the most promising young Aman manager achieved in one year is unparalleled. All soft issues have been fixed and for some hard ones Adrian still has to spend urgently some money

Regarding Orient Express they have the potential, but are inconsistent indeed, but I love their trains.
