I did manage to negotiate a long term rate for myself in Cleveland. I started by asking at the front desk who I should talk to about business rates. Unfortunately I can't offer too much help as I didn't have to negotiate much. I explained that I'd be working in CLE 4 nights/week for about 6 months, and asked for a rate comparable to a business rate that my client had at a Courtyard(I know they aren't comparable properties, but I had to stay close or the client would balk).

The gentleman I talked to was extremely helpful, and sent me a contract within a few days. The only thing I asked to be changed was that he originally put that I had to be there 4 nights in a row in a given week or the rate would go back to rack. Since I had just had a week of 3 days simply because I had missed a connection and not made it to town I didn't like that clause. I explained and he changed it.

I have now been staying at this property for 6.5 months with 2 weeks left on this project - when I was extended here a month they extended the rate with no problem.
