I just got off the phone with the main phone number and they confirmed that there is no special A-list Preferred phone number. They will use the phone number you're calling from and/or authenticate you based on birthdate, RR#, and zipcode and then route you to the front of the queue.

I got the new A+ phone number by calling the old RR customer service # right at the 7:00 CDT opening time on Wednesday and asking for it.
Turns out that my assumption about them authenticating folks wasn't a bad one.
