I had stay in Bay area Sheraton for three months on negotiated rate several years ago. Only received points for first month.

Stays of more than one month are treated quite differently by most hotel chains because you are than considered resident after thrirty days. You know longer pay taxes on room and in order to make you move from room Hotel must go thru same process as apartment eviction.

Best move is to negotiate three seperate 30 day stays for most points. I did not read the fine print and was very disappointed by the number of points I received.
