I actually have a reservation for this property for December so what will happen to my points etc?

Wouldn't Marriott have to stick to their end of the contract with regard to statement on my confirmation that states "This stay will be credited to your Marriott Rewards account"?

Incidentally I just tried to make another booking on Marriott.com for the same dates and the rate is slightly better.
