I hate depending on an upgrade to get a great room. It scares me that we might end up in some closet in the basement somewhere. With our upcoming stay in March 2004, we are using points at the Royal Hawaiian. I am not so nervous at that hotel because we have stayed there before and as far as I know the garden rooms are ok. If we must, we will points to upgrade. It's basically a freebie and only 5 nights out of 3 weeks so what's the worst that can happen?

I tried e-mailing them with regards to the renovation, but my e-mail bounced back with some silly error message.
