my daughter received in the mail solicitation to open a Chase visa ccard (she's in college, minimal credit history) for a whopping 50,000 miles after first use, triple miles for every $1 spend, no annual fee for the first year, $95 thereafter. this sounds really generous. she has a MP acct with about a little over 1000 miles in it from a short trip from last year. anybody here who's received this offer from UA/Chase? i called my daughter yesterday to get her ok to apply for the visa. i will probably end up "helping" her use it among other things to build her credit and for her to earn enough miles to earn her own ticket to europe later this year.
