I've read the rules a few times pretty thoroughly and I haven't been able to figure something out. I'm a fairly young frequent flyer and almost always fly for work so I got myself an AMEX platinum... But next week I'm traveling MSP-MDW-ATL-PNS which unfortunately was the only way to get within 100 miles of Panama City Beach for under 1000$ but with all the extensive layovers. My travel companion is 20 and naturally I'd like to spend the layovers in the SC. Is this permitted?
