Actually, this is a known issue, just not known enough. I stumbled into it only recently. Perhaps should be stickied somewhere in red letters! While this has its gotcha edge, people have also found creative uses; see for example: http://www.travelingbetter.com/forum...ad.php?p=25381.

Basically, if you have multiple windows or tabs open and perform an action on one, the other window/tab may get acted upon instead. Like you press the accelerator and another car in the parking lot starts moving.

So, unless that's what you want and know what you are doing, do not open multiple tabs/windows at AA.com, and if you do, just view the information, but don't perform any action (cancel, purchase, etc) on any of them. If I had multiple windows/tabs open, I would log out and log back in before doing anything important.
