Although the multiple-windows issue caused a problem in this case, sometimes it can actually be useful. See here (post #343) and here for how you can take advantage of multiple windows as a workaround to change a reservation name when the AA.com system otherwise won't let you do so (e.g., reservation was made by a travel agent).
