Don't forget some other airline programs have a bonus giving up to 15 miles per dine for either $50, $100, or $150 cumulative dine by the middle (15th) of March. Not only is 15 more than 10, but it's not limited to 5 dines, just to $150. If you're mostly dining by yourself or at cheaper places, then $150 is likely to be much more than 5 dines. (Of course, it's at an airline where you might need 15 miles for every 10 miles at other airiines. )

But the bigger point is, if you need to dine every week, you can do both, so if you collect with that other airline, why not do that one until the middle of March and then switch to AA for only your last 5 bigger dines in March.
