I am short about 1,650 pts. in order to transfer a total of 20,000 pts. (for 25,000 miles). I need the 25,000 miles to transfer to round out an airline award that I must request by August 20. (The elusive 331 days prior to travel)
My husbands' account will post about 30,000 pts. from the "Double pts. Amex Promotion" that ended on July 31. That can easily be seen by the amount of (single)pts. that posted to his SPG account from Amex spending in June (over 15,000) and July (over 18,000). I have asked SPG to "advance approx. 1,650 pts. so I will be able to ticket my award...but to no avail.
Starwood Lurker - can you help out with this? The combination of my current account pts., (RXXXXXX) and my husband's current account pts, (LXXXXXX), with the "courtesy" addition of 1,650pts. will add up to 20,000pts.
I will be only too happy to "replace the pts." back to SPG, as soon as the points post from American Express.....who knows how long that will take??
