I think a slightly different variant happened to me. Last year, I was looking into tickets for NYC. A few tabs open - I had one trip with a return on a Monday, the other with a return on Tuesday. I wanted the Monday return so bought it. I ended up with a Tuesday return. Unfortunately didn't notice until it was too late. Now I've made mistakes in my life but I was fairly certain that I had gone through purchasing with the Monday return. If this is the case, then they really need to fix that glitch.
