Saw this option today when looking for some domestic flights on AA. Has this been around long? I did a search but came up empty. Seems like it can be a good deal if you need a Y seat. Something like 6300 miles and $82 each way. Considering the $75 late booking fee that AA charges it's like getting a oneway flight at roughly the same amount of cash and half the miles you would have to fork over using AA miles for the same route. Still stinks that BA charges 37500 oneway for AA first....although you can now apparently buy it down to 28800 plus $232.
