Folks -- Thanks very much. Based on your feedback, I will press on with my plans. The heads-up about the gas station was particularly useful, since I probably would have headed head-long into the airport looking for the usual over-priced airport gas station!

I'm actually staying in the downtown Marriott very close to Parliament Hill, so the timelines were also very helpful.
