I just returned our 22" Kirkland Bags - these were the original redesign that came out in 2009.....we bought 4 of them for a family trip, and had problems with them on Jetblue, US Air and Southwest.

Wheels in, wheels out....we had trouble all the time, on most planes. We just never knew if our bags would fit on ANY plane, so I took them back and without question, Costco took them back and issued us a store credit. Their return policy is amazing.....

Our local Costco only has the 22" and 21.75" bags (1st and 2nd generation of redesign?), and my hope is to find the 21.5" bags (3rd generation of redesign?) since the consensus here is that those bags fit much better on all flights.

Any ideas on when these 21.5" bags will make it to local Costco's? Perhaps they are selling the old stock before loading up the shelves with the new version?

I am in the SF Bay Area and have checked Redwood City and Foster City - only 21.75" and 22" at those stores.

And ideas would be great!
