how can something like this happen in 2011? all of this "security", so many "checkpoints", and yet last night a passenger on my lax-jfk flight realized she was actually supposed to be going to sfo after the doors were locked. Hour and a half later, we finally left after letting her off and getting her baggage off. Does the ticket scanning at the gate not show that shes actually not on the flight? What good is scanning the ticket, just to prove you are supposed to be flying somewhere that day? obviously she holds a lot of blame for getting on the wrong flight, but the fact that it is even possible is ridiculous.
