Were you not made aware of the restrictions on your onward ticket ?

I mean what would you have done if the flight from ABZ had been cancelled ?

Whilst I am sorry of your predicament I have no sympathy for you in this case this was one of the biggest false economies. Still with offshore tax free earnings I't wont take long to earn back what you lost.

I rarely travel on split tickets, and if I do I allow a good 5-6 hours between flights. Most airports have good wifi now and you can often get a good day room rate at airport hotels or pootle into the city for a mooch around or a coffee.
My ticket was not a cheap ticket it was 140 odd pounds

How would I know if he was a frequent flyer all I know is he had an economy seat the same as me

No I was not made aware of restrictions and last but not least my travel agent did not advise the split ticket ruling hence I have sacked him

Bully for you for not travelling on split tickets and having 5-6 hrs between flight, I am not asking for advice on what you do I am asking for advice to see if I can claim anything against BMI

Still with offshore tax free earnings I't wont take long to earn back what you lost. Do I suspect a hint of jealousy and for your information never assume anything as I spend alot more than 90 days / year in the UK hence I pay tax similar to you

If you work overseas which you obvioulsy don't time at home is precious so I don't want to be staying in day rooms at airport hotels wandering round cities aimlessly However maybe by your comments of spending days here and there you having nothing to come home for - or is that me assuming
