The Ibis is ok, but it's your standard chain hotel and nothing special. You can do much better...
I'm usually putting up our guests at the
Altstadthotel Molitor. This is similarly priced/cheaper than the Ibis, has great breakfast, centrally located and quiet. I've yet to hear a complaint and it's the No. 1 choice of people who've come more than once.
An alternative in that price range are
Hotel Graupner (less nice setting, breakfast is similar; note that they have two locations - their guest house is about 1km away from the hotel, so you've a short stroll to breakfast, but the setting of the guest house is nicer).
