Platinum won't get you anything at an IC. You need to be Ambassador or Royal Ambassador (especially) if you want to see any real benefits.

Doesn't mean they won't upgrade you, just that they don't have to do anything for Plats (only applies to the Holiday Inn and other non-Interncontinental brand properties) where benefits are very few anyway.
