We've already seen Virgin America crash under "price-matching" schemes (read predatory pricing - see how the fares have doubled for post-Virgin America travel?). OTOH Porter may have a genuine appetite for legal recourse if AC pushes it far enough. I can understand Virgin America backing off and deciding not to sink resources into a legal battle, but Porter has more at stake. Should make for an interesting 12 months.
