I called the Superelite Desk because, in my experience, not being able to check in online is never a good sign.
The agent was very helpful and polite. Interestingly, she put me on hold for about 10 minutes and then came back and said that she did not know what the problem was but that I should not be concerned.
Today, I went to aircanada.com to check the status of my flights and AC603 had been cancelled!
I called the Superelite Desk and they said it was a crew change issue. They offered a full refund or rebooking tomorrow.
I said that AC607 lands in Toronto at 9.30 and flight to PVR leaves at 10 and I have only carry on but they wouldn't considered it......
My points:
1. I expect AC knew something was up yesterday and it would have been kind to get me out last night or earlier today (ie AC603)
2. Since it wasn't my fault, nor weater, but an operations issue, they should have allowed me to try for the tight connection.
Odd they would do this without telling you the full story. Can you have them rebook your flight at no charge.. I mean you are a super elite and they should value your business.
