I frequently fly YYZ-FRA and my tickets come out cheaper than YYZ-YVR (although I buy the ticket FRA-YYZ, not YYZ-FRA which makes a HUGE difference, sometimes half the price!!)
The "sales" fares AC is advertising are at times higher than the fares on same route before the sale!!

I expect YYZ-YUL will also go up once AC drive Porter into the ground. Pity really. My interaction with Vancouver and Calgary has been limited to transitting through their airports. And I can't see that changing. Keep driving the tourism dollars out of Canada. Its good for Canada. According to Transport Canada, anyway.
