Could probably save the FAs a lot of time per flight!

but then again, why are we fighting over airline food? Even in F/C, it's still airline food, not that different from your grocery store frozen food aisle.

UA's intl F food is actually pretty good, but in Intl F, they over-cater the cabin, so the stars system doesn't really matter a whole lot.

We have a winner here. Use those handheld payment devices for something like this so there is an incentive to be consistent, as it is the most simple way to execute.

While on the flight internet connection was too slow to reliably do search, but I see this now...

From what I read there -- 4 years on -- it's still not being consistently implemented.

But also gather reading there....many times it becomes defacto front to back, since the 4 levels don't offer enough gradation to avoid situations when you have most of the cabin as 3 stars. Heard them say last night 'no GS pax.'

On a PS flight it's very possible and often that 90% of the cabin is full fare. And there's then no formal differentiation other than front to back, and all the complexity is for naught.

All in all, I felt like I was in a casino at the black jack table, and while waving for the drink hostess the dealer interpreted the gesture to deal me a card while my hand is showing hard 20. You should have seen the gasps and looks on their faces...it was priceless.
