You are entitled to one free credit report per year from each of the three major agencies. You can get it at
https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp Really savvy people spread it out throughout the year so that they check on one credit report every four months making it easier to spot issues that may have cropped up.
You can get your free credit score through creditkarma.com. I thought that this was an estimated score but in reading their FAQ it appears to be the real thing.
