Just saw an ad for AC YOW-LHR or CDG all spring, $199 each way. Priced it out for two people. $1000 in taxes and surcharges alone... I realize that $1754 a/i for 2 people to go to paris from ottawa is a pretty decent deal. But in my opinion, AC advertising fare sales really doesn't mean much anymore. They can offer flights for $0 and they will still cost a fortune. The fuel surcharge is like highway robbery.
