Hi. I need to make a trip from FRA to LEJ next week. Initially I was just planning to take a train, but I learned that one can get an intra-German ticket fairly reasonably using BMI miles.

I have only 1,000 points and was going to purchase more miles to get a round-trip ticket, but it occurred to me that it might be too late or too expensive to do this.

1. Is it too late to get an award ticket departing on 3/9 (or 3/10) and returning on 3/13? Checking CO website, seats are wide-open.

2. Is it economically reasonable? For this trip, one needs to use 4,500 miles + £40. I need to buy up 3,000 miles (20% bonus now), which is £51. So £91 (around $147) plus taxes. How can I check the tax amount on this flight?
