Hi,

For a European destination , via LHR , December is likely to be cold but there will be lots of Christmas markets in continental Europe ( ie Vienna, Prague, Germany etc) and the cities will look magical in early December in the run up fro christmas.

Easter Island would be great too ( great tip travelbug225!^) ( I went there for a week in January 2010- flying from London via santiago)

The HKG route suggested by SixthFreedom is a good one too.
