My fiance just left the Westin Diplomat Country Club in Hallendale, Florida today and his phone bill came to $160.00 over three days! That came to $11.00 per minute including a $4.75 activation charge. This should be illegal. After he went to the front desk they wiped out half of the bill, but the only thing in his room was a sign saying that it was $1.75 per minute charge.
He tried to use his mobile phone but it didn't work in the hotel. HMMM...pretty wierd if you ask me. We travel to Hawaii quite a bit and have never had a problem even way out there. He still has to pay $80.00 just for calling home over the weekend. He called me on the way to the airport on his mobile and it worked fine.
From what he told me the other people that were at the same convention were also up in arms over their bills. Nickel and dime and dollar to death.
