SQ has also experienced a number of oil leaks with their A380 engines, although they chose not to reduce power on all of these occasions, while a CX 744 made an emergency landing in Kazakhstan late last year.
If there were any media coverage in Australia on these issues, they would've been minimal and not noticed by most people.
