I used to live walking distance to Carlos. I bought 2 cakes there a few years ago, shortly before the show started airing. I remember them tasting really good, but not good enough to wait in the long lines that are now there due to the show.

My expectations may have been lower, though, given that I was just buying cake at the neighborhood bakery. If I had to wait in line an hour for the cake, not sure I'd feel the same way. Or maybe they went downhill.
