The new 2011 Super Elite and Elite tags do not have personalization. The marketing genuises at AC decided it was too complicated (and obviously too costly) to professionally put the names of their best clients on the luggage tags that identify them around the world.

They have have tried to explain that this is actually an enhancement and members did not want them personalized yet I have been hard pressed to find one E or SE member who agrees. They all agree that the new tags look like crap (due to various levels of handwriting) and compared to other worldwide programs, are simply embarassing to have.

Furthermore flight staff have virtually all agreed that the new tags are cheap and inappropriate. I'm not even using mine and as they are not personalized, will just give them to my old aunt who travels once a year. Nice job making your best clients feel special Air Canada.
