At first one thinks it is random and unavoidable. But using modern management techniquies, and causal analysis, the cause is easily found and fixed. I hope QF executive management is doing this now, as they are at the helm of an airline that is starting to fray. A great airline, that is being nibbled away by conflicting and ill-considered management. That is my opinion, based on lots of experience with QF, and I'm sticking to it.

Number_6 would you agree that in this respect QF is similar to AF - a great airline with unexpected and unpredicable accidents, etc.

I am an Aussie who has lived most of his working life in London, and nothing makes me gladder to get on a QF jumbo jet, and go "home" (and though home to my family, wife and kids is definitely London). However recently I have been booking more and more on Cathay and Singapore - they do not seem to be having these unexpected and unpredicable accidents, I am beginning to feel a little safer with them.
