AA offers 8 SWUs per year to Executive Platinums.
As a Wisconsinite, you would also get 4 more after passing 2 million miles (any source), and every million after..... if AA keeps this benefit. 1 million gets you lifetime gold and 2 million gets you lifetime Platinum. Due to quad miles on quite a few flights in the past couple of years, my next million will be reached a lot sooner than my previous 2.
Back on subject

1. You don't get them as a PLT until you pass 2 million or if they are offered in a promo (I think it was possible for PLTs to get up to 2 in a 2009 promo)
2. I wouldn't use them for a trip to Cancun.......unless you have no better use.
