Yep. I got the same thing in reverse. I got corporate matches for UA for 1 1/2 years (It was suggested to wait until mid June to request) and 1/2 year on AS.
I got no use of the AS one (MVP Gold) except for pre-boarding and SEA security, on my one annual AS trip from SJC-SEA. I credited the miles to AA
The REAL benefit of the AS match was I got 8 upgrades good for 1 1/2 year, good on any published fare. This would be quite handy for a family trip to Kaui from the west coast. Availability for booking these upgrades is outstanding..... and I can use these upgrades and my AA number is in the reservation. (I have no AS status now)
