Just wondering if anyone has noticed a more rapid deterioration in Qantas performance of late? I've been a platinum ff for some years and watched the product and service slowly fall each year, but it seems over the past year they are almost trying to repel their business/first class customers. The check your own baggage idea seems only one degree short of fly the plane yourself. I wrote to Qantas twice on their site and explained that I was a pretty long standing, profitable, loyal, docile customer and that I was at the point where I was going to try a new airline for a while. I guess I was looking for some reassurance that they were still interested in hanging onto their business/first travellers. Two polite emails and both have been ignored for the last 10 days. Anyone else experiencing this as well? Or should I be taking it personally

I haven't really noticed this deterioration of services you describe. My experience is more along the lines of

And where do you have to check your own baggage as a Platinum?
