I don't have a problem with check your own bags for domestic. If it means that money can be spent elsewhere, surely that's a good thing?

BTW when was the last time QF paid a dividend? Also QAN in the last 12 months has traded at a high of $3.02 and a low of $2.12, at potentially a $1 per share you would need to sell a lot of shares to take a short term view as a board member or senior manager. So d00t, your step 4 is not reflected in the numbers.

Yes the QF fleet is looking tired and yes most of it should have been refreshed by now (787 and A380) and yes the 734 should also have been parked up but QF has been investing in the lounge product, premium economy and shortly the long over due skybed MKII for the remaining 747s.

Also the new Q400's now have window shades and fake metal trim on the shade handles and overhead locker handles. How can that be a rapid decline?

The lawyer sitting next to me on my SYD-BNE flight was originally booked on DJ but the flight was delayed until 11am, so he had to pay for a new ticket on QF. This is typical of flying DJ in my experience, so what alternative do you have for domestic?

I have already switched my long haul travel to the US from QF but this isn't about service and all about price.
