Just Bought the IPod Touch 4G 64GB

After many months of debating whether or not to get the Ipod Touch 4G 64GB I finally traded it some frequent flier miles as they are hard to use for flying and splurged for this device. I needed something that I can use for long flights as well as for my PDA, photo and video needs.

When I travel I want to be able to store as much music as possible and use the internet without having to carry around a heavy laptop. The Iphone with Verizon did not cut it as its not available in GSM which I much prefer and to get out of the contract and port the number to ATT is not worth the hassle not to mention high costs of roaming and the required data.

Since WiFi is essentially available everywhere and you don't want to be on the phone in the car while driving having the IPOD Touch allows me to make Skype Calls, Facetime, record videos and take photos.

I like being able to immediately send photos via email while on vacation and upload videos to Facebook. What I would do to use the least amount of memory is to take photos or videos and delete it off the IPOD Touch to save memory or back it up to a laptop.

While the camera is not as strong as a stand alone camera this does not bother me as I like being able to upload my photos without having to be next to a computer.

I also like the many applications, being able to access Kindle/Barnes and Noble Nook e-books and fun games.

One quick question I had do you find reading e-books on the IPod Touch better than on the Kindle as the Ipod Touch has a backlit screen. I found with the Retina display its easier to read for me and I can enlarge the text.

Overall an awesome device. I would like to hear your opinions.
