Did a business stay this week at CP Niagara Falls (Ontario) and found Plat treatment is above average. All staff friendly and very helpful putting in extra effort to ensure guest satisfaction. Last visit at Christmas 2009 and still the same quality service.
Booked a base std room w/ brkfast rate @ $119 and upgraded for Plat to a $180 King Fallsview w/ brkfast rate on the Exec 12th floor. Small by modern standards but nice all the same and reminds me of older hotels like the Fairmont in Toronto. They actually upgraded 2 other non PCR guests that I'd reserved rooms for in my name to the same level which was a pleasant surprise.
Points of interest;
*Plat Perk - Still offer the lg bottle of red or white wine as part of the turndown service. As they said the offer was running since last fall and will continue for a while longer but unknown how far into the future. Actually a good 2008 Ontario VGA wine which was a nice surprise. Add 2 bottles of water, 2 chocolates, and the std CP sleep kit
*Breakfast rate voucher is worth $27.50 w/taxes but w/o tip
*Had the battery die in the card door lock so delayed an hour after check-in. Mentioned on check-out and they gave me a 5000 pts voucher for the hassle
*Valet parking is $28 but self park in the same garage $18
*Don't forget the next door Hilton is connected to the CP and the waterpark hallway & elevator is through the CP so it can get busy on holidays/weekends
*Great food + fallsview at the restaurant. Casino a 2 min walk via the interconnecting indoor path. Hotel located right at the Rainbow Bridge border crossing.
